Job overview
As a forward-looking and innovative school, we are seeking to appoint a highly skilled practitioner to teach PE. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher to join and progress in our highly successful PE Department. QTS status is essential. An ability to teach across the full age and ability range up to A Level of PE and/ or the ability to teach another subject is desirable.
Please note: this position is for term 5 and 6 cover only.
Kingdown School is ranked in the top 10 secondary schools in Wiltshire situated in Warminster in the heart of beautiful rural Wiltshire with excellent links to Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and the South-West. Kingdown School is an academy under the Acorn Education Trust and provides exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on the collective experience of the Trust.
Our facilities are excellent and they include one gymnasium, three sets of changing rooms, a swimming pool, Physical Education Computer Suite, Sports Hall, eight tennis courts, Astro-Turf pitch, floodlit netball courts, and various other pitches at St George’s field (a short walk away). The swimming pool and Sports Hall are in the adjacent Sports Centre, which is part of a dual use agreement. The Sports Centre has squash courts and a fitness gymnasium.
