RGS Worcester is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational individual to teach within our Physical Education and Games Department. The successful candidate will be required to balance a determined work ethic, with good humour and positivity, whilst demonstrating a genuine love for the subject and commitment to sharing their enthusiasm with young people.
From September 2020, RGS will be offering GCSE PE alongside our existing A Level PE and BTEC Sport offering. The successful candidate will ideally be capable of teaching to at least GCSE level, with a specific focus on the delivery of anatomy and physiology, although this is not a prerequisite.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving department within beautiful surroundings and utilising the school’s outstanding sporting facilities. These include four outdoor netball courts, two indoor Sports Halls, Fitness Suite, Dance Studio and a full-size floodlit all-weather pitch. Most of our playing fields are within walking distance of the School and there are also 50 acres of grounds at RGS The Grange. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to our Games and after-school programme and there will be an expectation to work at weekends with school fixtures. The ability to coach Netball, Hockey and Cricket would be desirable although we will consider expertise in other activities.
Interviews for this post will be held on Friday 6th March 2020.
Applications: All candidates are required to apply via the TES online application form (no CVs will be accepted). RGS Worcester is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
Early application is actively encouraged. Suitable candidates may be called for interview early and we reserve the right to close the position at any time. The final closing date for this role is 24th February 2020.
