Wrenn Academy is an improving 11-18 academy, serving communities in and around Wellingborough. We are proud to be part of The Education Fellowship, a multi academy trust with a growing family of academies across Northamptonshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire.
In 2015, Ofsted challenged us to do more to achieve our vision. We are looking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher of Science to join our team. The successful candidate will exude a passion for teaching and learning and be committed to achieving the very best outcomes for our students. You will be required to teach throughout the age and ability range as well as contributing to the wider life of the academy and community.
We are fortunate to have a staff who, at all levels, are both highly skilled and supportive. You’ll find a warm atmosphere but also one that will challenge you to perform at your best. We have an established induction programme and mentoring scheme for new staff and a full programme of CPD and support.
You will be:
- A routinely good or outstanding teacher with the ability to teach all aspects of Science KS3/KS4 and potentially KS5

- Able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential
- Inspirational to colleagues and students - sharing best practice

About Wrenn School
Located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, Wrenn School is a secondary school for boys and girls aged 11-18. The establishment has two campuses: London Road, for Years 10-13 and Doddington Road, for Years 7-9. The coeducational School has 1470 pupils, including 140 in the sixth form.
Wrenn School's origins lie in Wellingborough High School for girls and Wellingborough Grammar School for boys, which both shared the site in 1930. The two schools merged in 1975. Wrenn School gained academy status in 2013.

Wrenn School has the ambition, the expertise and the determination to ensure that our outcomes will continue to improve beyond our current P8 score of +0.19. To do this, it is vital that we attract the right calibre of professional to work alongside our dedicated team of staff.
