Cobham Free School is looking to appoint a part-time Teacher of Science (0.8 FTE) to commence either 1st January or 18th April 2017.

Cobham Free School is an independent, publicly funded school, which opened in 2012, initially with a Junior Department, and has now grown to become an all through school, currently admitting pupils up to - and including - Year 9.

We offer a genuinely unique working environment - we are a small school with small class sizes of 24, our staff friendly and supportive, all keen to contribute to the development a new and growing school that lives up to its vision, offering the ‘best for all’ and to combine the best of both maintained and independent education sectors.

In an innovative working environment, there are excellent opportunities for career development and high quality CPD is prioritised under a dedicated Director of Studies. We have significant experience of mentoring NQTs and NQTs are welcome to apply for this role.

We are seeking a individual passionate about teaching Science, able to inspire our pupils and see our first cohort of GCSE pupils through their science examinations in a few years’ time.

Cobham Free School have recently secured a new site, in the heart of Cobham and the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to help shape both curriculum development and resources for this key department.

Cobham Free School is a publicly-funded, co-educational free school which opened its Junior phase in September 2012 and changed to all-through status (4-18 years) in September 2014, opening a sixth form in September 2019.  The school admits pupils from Reception to Year 13.

The school has recently entered the next exciting stage in its growth, having moved to our superbly equipped new premises in the heart of Cobham.
