Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, forward-looking SEN teacher to lead our Special Support Centre for ASD students. Known as 'The Base' the SSC is a provision for 20 students with ASC or Social Communication Needs as the main need on their EHCP.

This is a fantastic opportunity for creative, organised and ambitious teacher to join our friendly learning support department and work in collaboration with a committed team to build on existing good practice and further develop this provision. 

The post-holder will need to be an innovative teacher who can develop and deliver bespoke interventions and curriculum opportunities to meet the needs of the students. There will be a requirement to deliver some lessons in other SEN or Alternative Provision curriculum areas. KS2 experience desirable.

The successful candidate will lead on the Annual Review Process for students within the SSC. They will also support the SENCO in submitting EHCNARs for other students who have ASC as their main need and who require a significant level of support.
