Itchen Sixth Form College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Sociology and Health and Social Care to join our highly successful Faculty of Social Sciences and Care from January 2021 (November 2020 start if available).

You will be contributing to the teaching of the A Level Sociology course and NCFE CACHE Health and Social Care programme. The Faculty teaching team are committed to the use of ILT and the delivery of dynamic teaching and learning material for all. 

To be successful, you will show a clear commitment to the delivery of high quality and innovative teaching and learning experiences for students in this subject area. Applications are welcomed from outstanding NQTs or more experienced teachers, but applicants must have a passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential. 

The Social Science and Care Faculty have a shared vision of being a force for change in social science and care – and would welcome applications from individuals that would like to be part of a dynamic, highly experienced and forward thinking team sharing a passion for student progression into higher education or employment.

Itchen College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Hampshire, serving students from the age of 16-19. The college, situated in Southampton has approximately 1,558 learners on record.

Itchen College was founded in 1906 as a co-educational secondary school and later Itchen Grammar School. It welcomes learners from across the world, with 10% making up international students. Facilities on the campus include a sports centre, performing arts block – features Apple Mac suites, recording studios and soundproof music rooms, and a Student Centre for students to relax in during their study breaks.
