The Post

The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and hardworking teacher to join the Travel and Tourism Department. The department offers 2 different courses: BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate (equivalent to one A Level) and the BTEC Level 2 Award.

The post is available immediately on a fixed-term, part-time (38.10% - 57.14%) basis until 27 May 2022. The full-time teaching contact time at Reigate College is 22.75 hours per week.

Our ideal person will be able to demonstrate a track record of success in delivering the highest standards and achieving outstanding results. The post holder must be confident in the use of information technology in all aspects of their work.

The post would equally suit an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher.

The Department

The Department is housed in the Business Centre. The classrooms are fully equipped with data projectors, white boards and desktop computer suites.

The Department teaches in a collaborative style, with all staff contributing to central teaching resources. Students regularly progress onto university courses for Event Management, Tourism Management and Hospitality Management, as well as jobs in the travel and tourism industry.

The Department consists of four other teachers, who work closely as a team in a friendly and co-operative manner. Strong emphasis is given to mutual support by the exchange of ideas and materials.

Courses

The Department offers BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate and the BTEC Level 2 Award.

Salary

The salary for this post is up to £43,386 per annum for full time and pro-rata’d for part-time. The part-time salary will be between £16,530.07 per annum (38.10%) and £24,790.76 per annum (57.14%).
