Applications are invited from fully qualified K-6 Primary teachers to fill the above position, commencing 28 January 2020.
Essential criteria:
▪ Teaching qualifications meeting the standard for accreditation with NESA;
▪ Demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic faith and mission of the school;
▪ Demonstrate a high standard of competency and proficiency in classroom practice and student management;
▪ Ability to teach Religious Education;
▪ Possess effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a team member of the school and parish community;
▪ Ability to work alongside parent volunteers to enhance learning outcomes;
▪ Hold appropriate Religious Education qualifications (or willingness to obtain);
▪ Capacity to teach in flexible learning environments;
▪ An understanding of the importance of a collaborative approach to teaching;
▪ Working With Children Check Clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
▪ Experienced in early stage literacy intervention programs.

St Mary Of The Angels Primary School is a co-educational, independent Catholic school in the town of Guyra in the New England region of NSW. It provides education for approximately 90 students, ages 5-12, and employs 6 teaching staff.
The school was founded in 1919, by the Sisters of Ursuline, where lessons commenced in the old convent on site. The school prides itself on small classroom sizes, and has also undergone recent renovations creating contemporary new spaces for learning.

The school has modern facilities set amongst extensive green areas for students to take advantage of. Air-conditioned classrooms, a large library with computer access, outdoor learning areas, a school hall and sheltered play areas. Specialist classrooms are also available for the arts and food technology.
Curriculum
The school offers a contemporary curriculum that is well supported by access to technology. The core disciplines are English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Arts. Religious Education is a part the wider curriculum and is taught in each year group as well. Opportunities are also provided to students to participate in local and state sporting and academic competitions.
