We are seeking to appoint highly-motivated people to join our School, supporting students in lessons to enable them to access the curriculum, as well as working closely with teachers.  The school houses two specialised resource provisions, the ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) resource for students with specific ASD difficulties, and the ACE resource for students with dyslexia.  Due to growing student numbers, we are seeking Teaching Assistants for these specialised units, as well as general Teaching Assistants, supporting students in mainstream lessons.  The TAs will work in partnership with teachers, parents and other practitioners to support good progress and achievement for all students.

The ability to be flexible, as well as to build good working relationships with students, parents and staff is a key requirement.  A willingness to learn, with a good general level of education is essential.  These roles may well appeal to people who are considering going into teaching as a career or those who are passionate about working with students who have special educational needs or disabilities.

We are also offering this post as an Apprenticeship, working with the West Berkshire Training Consortium to provide on-the-job training in order to your to progress your career. A good general level of education is essential; applicants will hold a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (A to C) or equivalent including English and Maths.  For the Apprenticeship route there are opportunities to gain these qualifications. Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.

If you feel that you have the drive for these roles we would like to hear from you.  Application is by letter and application form to Dr C Wilson, Executive Headteacher, the latter including the names and addresses of two appropriate referees.

Further details can be obtained from Mrs Conway on 01635 510500, by email to hr@trinity.newburyacademytrust.org or visit the school’s website www.trinitynewbury.org

The school has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.   The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check as well as other pre-employment checks.

Closing date:   Friday 30th April 2021
