The college is looking to expand its Support for Learning Department (S4L) with the appointment of a specialist Teaching Assistant who is passionate about enabling young people with ASD to succeed. The main purpose of the role is to support students with ASD, both in and out of the classroom. The role will also involve working with other LSAs/TAs and teachers, to ensure students are well supported, as well as liaison with parents/carers.
Applicants for this post should be either currently working in schools/colleges as a TA/LSA, or training towards becoming a TA/LSA. Experience of working with students with ASD is essential.

Itchen College was founded in 1906 as a co-educational secondary school and later Itchen Grammar School. It welcomes learners from across the world, with 10% making up international students. Facilities on the campus include a sports centre, performing arts block – features Apple Mac suites, recording studios and soundproof music rooms, and a Student Centre for students to relax in during their study breaks.
