We have an exciting opportunity at Southend Adult Community College for a Tutor of ICT to join our Community Learning team. The role will be teaching exam and non-exam based ICT courses at all levels from beginners to Level 2 Functional Skills.
The purpose of this role is to teach and engage with our learners, in order to give them the skills they need to have a better and brighter future. To do this successfully you:
- Will need to be passionate and experienced at delivering high quality teaching in the subject area
- Will have up to date occupational experience and hold the relevant subject qualifications
- Will have previous experience of curriculum delivery and a track record of successful learner outcomes
- Will need to have a Diploma in Education and Training at Level 5 (or be willing to obtain this within 3 years) to teach on accredited courses or Education and Training Level 3 (or be willing to obtain this within 1 year) for non-accredited courses (or equivalent qualifications)
We will consider applicants who wish to teach exam or non-exam based or both. We offer excellent support, training and mentoring to all new members of staff.
This role will require an enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
