We have an exciting opportunity for a Vice Principal of ABI to join our vibrant, dynamic and forward-thinking school with cutting-edge facilities and a nurturing environment to start September 2017.

As the Vice Principal of ABI you will support the Principal in transforming leadership at all levels of the Academy as well as leading on aspects of Academy Development planning. You will demonstrate commitment to raising student attainment and staff expectations in every aspect of academy life in particular to monitor and develop the quality of behaviour to raise levels of departmental and student attainment.

You will have the ability to contribute to the School Improvement Plan and to work towards the achievement of whole school targets related to behaviour, attendance and inclusion, which demonstrates how you plan to bring about change and improvement over time, moving towards an agreed vision with clear success criteria and outcomes.

We are currently looking to appoint an individual who has;

• Achieved Qualified Teacher status with a minimum of five years’ current continuous experience in a secondary setting 

• Evidence of excellent leadership and management skills

 • The ability to Ability to communicate a clear vision for improving standards. 

• Comprehensive understanding both of national performance measures for schools and the OfSTED framework for inspections 

• An understanding of how students learn and an indication of how to meet their needs

• The ability to work and gain the support of external agencies and community organisations.
