The Conservation Centre opens this autumn in the former Midland Railway Goods Offices, Whitechapel, Liverpool. Everything from space rockets to sculpture will be on show. Pupils can investigate science, history, art, design and technology. The display introduces them to materials, how they decay and how conservators can treat or prevent it. Tel: 0151 207 0001.
