When Her Majesty’s Inspectorate applied to be “Chartermarked”, it seemed a reasonable proposition that someone with a proven educational pedigree should be given the task.
Imagine his chagrin, however, when HMI objected and he was duly taken off the case. What next, we wonder? Could this open the floodgates for teachers, schools and authorities to appeal against some inspectors they have been allocated?
