MEETING THE CHALLENGE OF CHANGE
The Government has put Pounds 60 million into a School Performance Award.
Schools that perform well will get a one-off payment and the head will distribute it to deserving members of staff. The award is expected to be worth several thousands of pounds per school and eventually one in four is expected to be selected. The Department for Education and Employment will consult on the best way to identify the schools.
