Computers help pupils achieve better grades, report claims

PUPILS in primary schools well-equipped with computers get better grades in English, maths and science, according to a new report. The research, by the British Education, Communication and Technology Agency, also found that any subject supported by ICT tended to beneft. Learning and technology minister Michael Wills announced a funding boost of pound;400 million for new technology in schools this week. He said: “We are moving towards a time when all schools will be able to provide guaranteed access to minimum levels of ICT.”
