A new environmental education initiative has been launched by one of the UK’s biggest transport providers. The Connectors programme aims to get children thinking about their role in creating a more sustainable planet. Bus and train company National Express East Coast is behind the idea, which involves its employees working in local communities and schools. The programme will take place over 12 months in areas served by the east coast mainline, including Glasgow and Edinburgh.
