On the 50th anniversary of VE Day, the British Red Cross and the Oxford Street Traders Association are hosting a fundraising street party for more than 1,000 children aged five to 12 in Oxford Street, 1.30pm to 2.30pm. It will celebrate BRC’s 125th birthday and promote the need for first aid training. Activities will include: bandaging competitions, quiz games with an emergencyhealth theme led by celebrities, stories by grandparents about VE day celebrations, clowns, street theatre and magicians.
