MAY 1 AND 11. INDEPENDENT APPEALS AUTHORITY FOR SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS. The IAASE will hear appeals concerning English literature and business studies on May 1 at 10am and 2pm respectively, and for home economics (textiles) on May 1 at 2.30pm. Musical at Bloomsbury Theatre, 15 Gordon Street, London WC1, based on Oscar Wilde’s classic novel and adapted by Rock Theatre Budapest. Cast includes two British guest actors, Claire Moore and Hal Fowler, and leading Hungarian actor, Attila Csengary, as the beautiful man remaining forever young while his portrait mirrors the hideous corruption of his soul. OXFORD STREET CHILDREN’S PARTY

On the 50th anniversary of VE Day, the British Red Cross and the Oxford Street Traders Association are hosting a fundraising street party for more than 1,000 children aged five to 12 in Oxford Street, 1.30pm to 2.30pm. It will celebrate BRC’s 125th birthday and promote the need for first aid training. Activities will include: bandaging competitions, quiz games with an emergencyhealth theme led by celebrities, stories by grandparents about VE day celebrations, clowns, street theatre and magicians.
