What are students entitled to know about teachers’ lives? Precisely what teachers choose to tell them (“Expose at your own risk”, Feature, 14 June). It is inevitable that they will find things out by chance, but that’s another matter. This works both ways. Teachers have no right to pry into students’ lives. I remember being irritated as a child with teachers who wanted me to write “news” about my life. How was what I did any of their business?
