Pink Floyd’s classic lyric about the school system - “We don’t need no education” - is to be the title for a wide-ranging conference at Middlesex University. The conference, to be held on January 24, will be hosted by the university’s education department and will explore changes to education, government policy on schools and what it means to be educated.
Speakers will include Mick Waters, director of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, and Dr Gary Day, principal lecturer in English at De Montfort University in Leicester. For more information, or to reserve a place, contact Kevin Morris at k.morris@mdx.ac.uk.
