It ill befits any politician to criticise schools’ actions as “game playing” or “morally wrong” (Gove acts to end ‘game playing’ in league tables, 22 July). Corrupt systems breed corruption.

Before he imposes yet another politically driven, transient initiative, let Michael Gove put his own house in order. And before new behaviour tsar Charlie Taylor advises the Government on effective behaviour management strategies (Insight, page 20, 22 July), let him cut his teeth on Prime Minister’s Question Time.

If he can make that bunch of louts behave ...
