A popular primary school headteacher has been found dead at his home. Owain Richards, who had led Cliff Lane Primary School in Ipswich, Suffolk, since 2004, was found last weekend. Police are not treating the death as suspicious. The father-of-two is believed to have been suffering from stress and had split from his wife of 21 years in October 2008. Current and former pupils at the school have set up a Facebook memorial site to leave messages of condolence for the 42-year-old’s family. Jo Leek, chair of governors at Cliff Lane, said: “This is an extremely sad time for everyone connected with the school. Owain led the school with a great deal of pride, commitment and enthusiasm. His vibrant personality will be missed.”
