YVETTE Cooper, the public health minister, warned that if the current trend of poor diet and lack of exercise continues, the life expectancy of today’s children could be shorter than that of their parents. Sh told a conference of health visitors and community practitioners in Harrogate that the Government’s consultation on child health targets would focus on removing inequalities between income groups.
