Ofsted, which is taking over post-1 inspections, and the new Adult Learning Inspectorate, have both been pitching for inspectors from the old body. The secret of Ofsted’s success? The inspectorate insists that it is the attractions of the job that are the key, but our mole heard more talk about the free mobile phone on offer to every recruit.
