What is it?

www.teachersunderground.co.uk offers an extensive list of useful recipes that have been tested in classrooms across the country. The website also has various aids and handouts for teachers and students of food technology and hospitality and catering.

How to use it?

It is pretty simple to use. On the left-hand side of the screen is a navigation bar featuring links to schemes of work, classroom management, an area for sharing files, SMART Board help and teacher resources. The home page lists all the recipes you can access and these are presented as links with short descriptions. Just click on the link for the recipe you are interested in and the entire set of materials opens. You can choose to run or save these.

Why do I like it?

I like this resource for a number of reasons. First, it is easy to find your way around because of the navigation bar. There is also the fact that the resources and recipes are not just put together in one area - they are listed in sub-categories such as key stages 3-5, hygiene, nutrition and evaluations.
