Schools are being urged to sign up to a 10-point pledge to improve learning for deaf children. The Diamond Deaf Friendly Pledge has already won the support of more than 500 schools and nurseries, said the National Deaf Children’s Society. Each school which signs up to the pledge, launched to mark the charity’s diamond anniversary, receives an advice booklet.
