A teacher with 30 years’ experience in helping people with reading difficulties believes she has developed a product to teach children how to read through games.

Trugs - teach reading using games - is based on four different card games which use phonics to help students and young people learn to read.

Devon-based teacher Joanna Jeffery said: “I have come up with the idea of trugs so that teachers and parents can simply play card games and teach their children to read through fun, laughter and enjoyment.”
