Ever since the gold medal success of Scotland’s - sorry, Britain’s - women curlers at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, even football-crazy Scots have been enthusing about “the Roaring Game”. Not, however, staff at Strathclyde yoonie.
The latest edition of PRISM, its in-house journal, carries a cri de coeur from ice maiden Lyn Black pleading for staff members to take part in a “grand match” at the Greenacres curling rink against their Gilmorehill counterparts.
Black is, to coin a phrase, desperate: “Get in touch urgently - all standards welcome.”
Readers who wish to roar to the rescue will have to get their skates on - the match takes place tonight (Friday) at 6pm.
Glad to be of assistance.
