PARENTS are rising to David Blunkett’s challenge to spend more time helping their children with homework. They are spending an average seven hours a week on homework - two hours more than that recommended by the Education Secretary. The fndings come from a survey by www.learnfree.co.uk, The TES’s sister website. Learnfree’s homework study, based on interviews with 1,200 parents, revealed that more than four out of five see surfing the net as an aid to homework.
