Half-forgotten poems can be rediscovered and poetry queries answered with the help of the Scottish Poetry Library’s specially devised computer catalogue system, Inspire, which is also available on the Internet.
It can be searched using the usual categories of author, title, date or language,as well as by theme. The catalogue also includes music, sound recordings, videos, periodicals and news cuttings. With more than 40,000 records, it is a major database of mainly 20th-century poetry from Scotland and elsewhere.
