For over 80 jobs that were advertised there was no stipulation of length of service, yet the day after the closing date HTs were emailed by the LA stating that teachers with four years’ service with the LA or probationers from any LA were to be given interview priority. When 235 teachers are applying for one position, how can the best candidate possibly be interviewed when only teachers with four years’ service or probationers are to be selected? LAs have moved the goalposts to suit themselves.
