There is a serious flaw in Colin Richards’ letter last week (“Fergie, join Gove Disunited”, 17 May). Footballers do as they are instructed by their manager or they find themselves on the bench or the transfer list. Teachers do not follow what their education secretary Michael Gove tells them as they are professionals. Teachers are individuals trying to work as a team.
