Website http:heritage-explorer.co.uk contains more than 400,000 images from the English Heritage collection, all copyright cleared and easy to download and use as you wish. The site is so much more than that it contains a series of ready-made teaching activities focused on one or more arresting images. There are teaching ideas, links and an interactive whiteboard activity to use, or alter to suit your own particular classroom.

CD-Rom The Indus Traders Way (www.harappa.comteach or 020 8472 3825). This is an electronic version of their trading board game, with the advantages of technology. The open-ended nature of the playing board reflects the trading patterns of the Indus Valley civilisation, and the online support makes this a flexible learning tool.
