Why do I keep getting it wrong? First I was told to teach more basics, now I’m being told I teach them too much. Then I was told to put more effort into teaching girls and minority groups, but now they tell me I should have concentrated on the white boys. I used to organise my class in ability groups until they said I had to do whole -class teaching - now that’s wrong too.
Is there some kind inspector who could actually come along and show me what to do right, instead of telling me what I do wrong all the time?
