IT is interesting to note your report about pupils at a Manchester school sampling the life as a Bedouin nomad “to help increase their understanding of Arab and Islamic culture”. There is nothing wrong with pupils sampling Bedouin life. However, the assumption that this helps to increase an understanding f Arab and Islamic culture is outrageous.
On my next visit to Jerusalem I shall offer to take a group of pupils on a perambulation in traveller new-age caravans in order that they may sample European and Christian life!
