A guide for headteachers and local authorities involved in the Building Schools for the Future programme was unveiled this week.
Creating Excellent Secondary Schools, produced by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, is a step-by-step explanation of how the process works, from the early designs to the finished buildings.
The launch comes shortly before the first meeting of the commission’s new school design panel next month. The panel aims to help local authorities assess the quality of designs for new secondary schools.
