School-trip Bill clears the Lords

Legislation to tackle the “compensation culture” by requiring courts to consider the social value of potentially risky activities, such as school adventure trips, cleared the Lords this week.

The Compensation Bill, which also regulates claims management services, the so-called “ambulance chasers”, will now go before the Commons for further consideration.
