Short-changed

Our school has a small but growing sixth form. Unconsulted and then under protest, we were funded this year for 132 learners, anticipating 150. We have enrolled 167, leaving a funding shortfall of about pound;150,000. The advice I have had so far is to go into deficit budget. That’s all right then. Hints of retrospective funding are there but have yet to be confirmed. I wonder if colleagues face similar situations? Of course, funding for A-level students has not been rationed, has it?
