* The Linx Model Maker

An inexpensive and easy to use construction system suitable for investigating mechanisms and structures in primary Damp;T. Workcards are included and a video shows the basic techniques needed. * Techtrucks

* Loan Boxes

* Food Production

The British Meat Education Service is launching a free video magazine which includes industrial case studies illustrating food production. This will complement their other free food related resources which are supported by a team of regional staff who offer workshops and conferences for teachers. 01908 844191

* Food in focus

This CD-Rom from Ridgwell Press is designed for the nutritional analysis of recipes, food products and diets. It is extremely quick so that a recipe can be analysed and a label created in two minutes. This should prove especially useful for GCSE. From pound;75 for single user. Ridgwell Press: 0121 455 6505.

* Help Sheets

The Design and Technology Association (DATA) has published a pack of Help Sheets to support Damp;T at key stages 1 and 2. These A4 cards are matched to the units of work and are clearly illustrated and contain guidance and realistic advice. pound;15. (pound;10 for DATA members). DATA: 01789 470007
