European Schoolnet has designated March 21 as Spring Day in Europe to raise awareness of European issues among 14 to 19-year-olds. Schools are being encouraged to organise a European event for that day - maybe a discussion, debate or competition that can be shared with the 1,000 or so schools across Europe that are expected to participate. MEPs are available to take part - seven British MEPs have already arranged to visit schools in their areas, for example Elunet Morgan plans to visit Treorchy Comprehensive School in South Wales. Schools can register their interest by visiting the European Schoolnet website (follow the link to Spring Day in Europe).
