The Interim Report into the Primary Curriculum Review was, by its very nature, work in progress. It has provided an opportunity for those who wish to contribute to the review.

The Interim Report was informed by wide-ranging consultations, reviews of research and direct observation in primary schools, but is not set in stone.

That is why we have invited, and would very much welcome, responses to the report by the end of February. Moreover, those who respond can be assured that what they have to say will be taken seriously in finalising the review.

As part of the consultative process, I will meet the Government’s early-years advisory group, and others, and listen carefully to their contributions before producing the final report.

Sir Jim Rose, Chair, Primary Curriculum Review.
