A primary music specialist is the new chair of the National Association of Music Educators. Lis McCullough will lead the organisation for the year 2008-09.
Ms McCullough began her career as a primary music teacher, before moving on to a job with local authority music services. Later, she completed a PhD, and is currently involved in running a key stage 2 music professional development programme. She joined the association in 2001 and has acted as secretary of its national conference for two years.
She said: “There is no other music professional organisation like Name. I look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead.”
