THE TELETUBBIES will be swapping their precious custard and toast for burgers and fries after landing a big-money deal in the US to team up with fast-food giant McDonald’s.
American youngsters are expected to get Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa or Po toy with their food as part of a marketing campaign.
“Teletubbies are beloved by children everywhere and are the perfect addition to our roster of premiere entertainment properties,” said R J Milano, vice president of McDonald’s US Marketing.
