A secondary head in Salerno had to be taken to hospital after he discovered male pupils putting on a strip show for the benefit of female classmates in the auditorium of Tasso, a prestigious liceo classico. The headteacher, Signor Michelangelo Tritto had to have a week off work to recover from the shock.
The show took place after pupils staging a sit-in decided to have a contest to elect “Mr Tasso” - the best-looking boy in the school. The sit-in was part of a national campaign against planned educational reforms.
