One of the largest independent providers of secondary teacher training insists all courses will go ahead, despite the company calling in the liquidators. Keynote Educational, which runs around 1,000 courses a year, this week reported “a serious cashflow problem” that had led to “substantial debts.” Co-owner, Dr Pam Hurry, reassured course tutors that unpaid fees would be met. Jim Hurry, her husband and co-director, said the company would be wound up and a new one created, called Keynote Training, which would continue with its existing nine permanent staff and around 350 freelances.
