Well Worth Reading, a charity which supports schools, libraries and youth groups to boost reading, offers new materials and training courses pitched at school librarians and others working on key stage 3 literacy or whole-school reader development, with potential for citizenship and PSHE. Teenage resources include a new issue of BOOX magazine, written by and for 13 to 16-year-olds, and The Reading Kit 2, which focuses on hooking disaffected young people into books and building emotional literacy. Some lifelong learning materials are also suitable for use in schools, such as the second edition of Made in Britain, on new black and Asian writing.

The charity runs day courses at its partner library supplier, Books for Students in Warwickshire - the next one is Developing Teenage Readers on March 26 - and can do Inset or consultancy on, for example, building a reading culture in school or using graphic novels.
