Having taught in both denominational and non-denominational schools and not being aware of superior morality in either staffroom, I was interested to learn that the honesty and integrity of applicants for posts in Roman Catholic schools will now be put under scrutiny on every occasion for the first time (TESS, March 17).
Accordingly, I would be interested to know what “flaws” in moral fitness would render a teacher good enough to teach in a non-denominational school but not good enough for a Roman Catholic school.
