Hurrah! It was good news for Scottish colleges this week, as the Scottish Funding Council published some very encouraging statistics for the sector.
The number of enrolments were up 3.9 per cent in 2017-18 and the total student headcount increased by 2.9 per cent.
More impressively, these increases came at a time when the number of young people in the Scottish population as a whole has been declining.
