23,400 KS2 papers sent back for review

Primary heads asked for a review of the marks given on more than 23,400 key stage 2 papers last year - 3 per cent of the total - according to the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency. The Government agency changed the levels awarded on almost 2,300 papers. The review system was changed this year, meaning that whole scripts are rechecked rather than specific questions.
