WATCHING the teachers’ awards ceremony, I was disappointed to see that there was no Supply Teacher of the Year.
Surely, the increasing number of us who only sit and wait on the agency phone call, ever willing and eager to cover for our stressed-out colleagues at the chalk face, deserve recognition too?
